About

Chappers Photography - Lee Chapman

My name is Lee Chapman, and I run a small, independent photography business called Chappers Photography.

At the heart of Chappers Photography are my photography workshops and courses. I’m passionate about working with amateur photographers of all abilities, creating hands-on photo shoots and helping people grow in confidence and skill behind the camera. I’m a fully qualified lecturer with over 20 years’ experience in education, and teaching photography is something I genuinely love.

In 2024, I was proud to receive a ‘Highly Commended’ award for Experience of the Year at the Staffordshire Good Food & Tourism Awards for my photography events. I’ve also delivered workshops for organisations including the RAF Museums, Severn Valley Railway, and Buxton Crescent Heritage Trust, alongside a wide range of my own events.

I’m based at High Ash Farm in Abbots Bromley, where I have a small unit displaying and selling my work. This also serves as the base for many of my workshops and a hub for promoting upcoming events.

Alongside teaching, I remain a very active photographer, covering media, events, sport, and a wide range of commissioned work. I’m available for family photo shoots, weddings, business and commercial photography.

Photography isn’t just my job — it’s my passion. Even in my spare time you’ll usually find me out with a camera, capturing wildlife, landscapes, or local events, always learning and refining my skills so I can pass that knowledge on to others.

One of my favourite subjects is aviation photography, and I’ve been fortunate to have six books published featuring my historic aviation images.

I’m also an active member of my local camera club and regularly travel — in person or via Zoom — delivering talks and presentations about my photography.

Thanks for following along, and I look forward to sharing more photography, events and workshops with you throughout the year.
